In addition to simply getting back in the habit of daily image posting, I’m trying to increase the speed and efficiency with which I do my editing.  A large part of the problem I’ve had is that I tend to agonize over every aspect of an image for much too long, not willing to move on until I’ve gotten it ‘just right’ or just give up in frustration.  Perfectionism would seem to be a desirable trait for creative endeavors, but must be channeled and controlled in order to be useful.

So it’s been a while, to say the least.  As this is not my first attempt at coming back after not touching this blog for a long time, I won’t bother with the reasons for it, and simply explain my intention for the future.

I am currently away from my personal workstation and will be until the end of the month.  Although this prevents me from editing images with anywhere near accurate color, I still have my camera and somewhat serviceable computer, and I intend to make use of both of them.

At this point, I simply wish to get back in the habit of daily image posting as I was when I first began to participate in the ioda.
